As we planned this symposium, we tried to be mindful of the daily strains and demands confronting its attendees, while also recognizing the vast opportunities available and potential to be realized. Much has been lost this past year, but much more can be created. The solutions to today’s problems may originate from the minds and abilities of those within the conflict resolution field. We need not despair or hide, but rather delight in what we know and what we can do and become. Our skills, talents and profession must be center stage and in the spotlight, and we must perform at the highest standard; that may make all the difference in the world!
